IN-03: Mark Souder announced on May 18, 2010 that he would resign effective May 21 due to an affair. On May 28 Gov. Mitch Daniels set the special election for the same day as the general election, Nov. 2, 2010.
NY-29: Eric Massa (D) announced on March 3, 2010 that he would not seek re-election. He resigned March 8 amid allegations over an abusive work environment. Special election same day as the general election, Nov. 2, 2010.
GA-9: Nathan Deal (R) announced on March 1, 2010 he would resign effective March 8 to focus on gubernatorial campaign. However on March 4 he announced he would delay the date of his resignation so as to be able to vote on health care; he resigned effective March 21. Special election May 11, 2010 resulted in a runoff between Tom Graves (R) and Lee Hawkins (R) on June 8. Tom Graves (R) elected.
HI-1: Neil Abercrombie (D) resigned effective Feb. 28, 2010 to focus on his gubernatorial campaign. Special election May 22, 2010. Charles Djou (R) elected.
