Friends of Herman Cain
"Smoking Tractor" +
:60 ad run in Iowa starting Nov. 9, 2011.
[Music] Man 1: The EPA has
suggested that they regulate the methane emissions coming out of our
cattle. For thousands of years, sixty million buffalo roamed
these prairies in Iowa. Who regulated them?
Man 2: The EPA
wants to regulate dust on farmers. You can't plow a field without
dust... My dog
makes dust.
Man 3: The more it costs us to comply with all these new regulations, the more it's going to cost everybody else to feed themselves.
Kleckner (voiceover and to
camera): My name is Dean Kleckner... I
spent 24 years as president of both the Iowa Farm Bureau and the
American Farm Bureau Federation.
Over-regulation is killing the
American farmer.
I think Herman Cain is the answer. Running
a farm is a business, and Herman Cain is a proven CEO. Herman
Cain reminds me of Ronald Reagan, and I knew Ronald Reagan.
It's time to put the United back in the United States of America.
Cain (voiceover):
I'm Herman Cain. I'm running for president of the United States
and I approve this message.
Notes: This, the Cain campaign's first TV ad, is a condensed version of the 1:44 web video the campaign released a couple of days earlier. The Des Moines Register reported, "The Cain campaign will spend $71,600 to run the ad Nov. 9-27..." The Register also reported the three farmers are Adam Hill, Craig Hill and Brady Sage.
