Jon Huntsman for President

"Experience Needed" +
  2:02 web video from Nov. 12, 2011.

[Music] Cain: “Knowing who is the head of some of these small, insignificant states around the world—I don’t think that is something that is critical to focusing on national security.”

Anchor: “Governor Romney has been criticized, though, for not taking a firm stance on Libya. First he criticized the President for being too lenient and then he said the President was acting too aggressively.”

Romney: “I do not support and have never supported a timed withdrawal.”

Romney: “Well there’s no question that the President and Prime Minister al-Maliki have to have a series of timetables and milestones that they speak about.”

Perry: “When we had the opportunity to sell India the upgraded F-16s, we chose not to do that. We did the same thing with Taiwan.”

Cain: “When they ask me, ‘Who is the president of Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan?’ I’m going to say you know, ‘I don’t know. Do you know?’”

Piers Morgan: “Herman Cain doesn’t appear to know anything about China’s nuclear policy.”

Cain: “So, yes they’re a military threat. They’ve indicated that they’re trying to develop nuclear capabilities.”

Maria Bartiromo: “How would you crack down on China?”

Romney: “Well, number one, I would do something this president should have done a long time ago, which is to label China a currency manipulator.”

Jason Riley: “And then he would start a trade war basically.”

Mary Kissel: “So it’s just a fundamental misreading of how the global economy works and an unfortunate pandering to what he believes would be a very popular policy here in the United States, which would ultimately hurt the economy.”

Gingrich: “And let me say in advance that I would yield, in part, to Governor Huntsman because he speaks fluent Chinese, he’s worked in China, he’s been the ambassador.”

Huntsman: “I think at some point the substance really does matter and you’ve got to have a commander in chief who actually understands the world in which we live. It’s complex, it’s confusing, it’s unpredictable, and it’s not going to get any less so as we move forward.”

TEXT: “Only one GOP candidate has foreign policy experience.”

Notes: According to the press release:

"Through a series of gaffes, flip flops, and bewildering statements Governor Huntsman's opponents have demonstrated that they are not ready to lead on day one on critical foreign policy issues," said Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller.

"Voters can trust Jon Huntsman to be prepared for critical issues like counter-terrorism, expanding our economic footprint, and dealing with our most sensitive relationship in China."

"In this complex and confusing world, voters need a president they can trust to maintain America's preeminence in the years ahead."
