Bret Baier: How are you going to turn this country around?

Karger: Thank you Bret.  I'll tell you how I'm going to turn this country around.  I want to bring back the American spirit and optimism just like President Reagan did.  All of you on this stage should be ashamed of yourselves.  All you talk about is doom and gloom.  No wonder in poll after poll Americans think the country's going in the wrong direction.  Ronald Reagan taught me a lot.  His can do attitude and unending optimism helped get us out of the terrible recession when he took office.  [Music starts to swell and crowd cheers/applause, still quite low] We are all so fortunate to live in the greatest country on Earth.  We have an unlimited opportunity to succeed.  So let's talk about how we can turn this country around.  As President Reagan said, we have much greatness before us.
