Obama for America

"Remember" +
0:30 ad run starting Apri 2, 2012 in CO, FL, IA, NV, OH and VA.

Obama (voiceover): I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message.

[Music] Male Announcer: Under President Obama, domestic oil production's at an eight-year high.

So why is big oil attacking him?

Because he's fighting to end their tax breaks.

He's raising mileage standards, and doubling renewable energy.

In all these fights, Mitt Romney’s stood with Big Oil—for their tax breaks, attacking higher mileage standards and renewables.

So when you see this ad—

Remember who paid for it.  And what they want.

Notes:  The American Energy Alliance started running an ad, "Nine Dollar Gas," in many of the same states on March 29.  The DNC responded with a video, "Remember," which has identical language and some of the same imagery as this ad (except the disclaimer).

From the campaign press release -

The President has made significant progress to ensure a clean-energy future for our country, including raising mileage standards and doubling renewable energy.  Yet oil executives continue to attack that progress, fighting to keep their tax breaks and against investments in clean energy.  While those special interest work to stop the progress we’ve made, President Obama continues to take steps to make America more energy independent and create an economy that’s built to last by out-innovating and out-building our competitors around the world.
