Obama for America

"President Obama Reflects on Dinner--Extra Footage from Dinner with Barack" +
1:06 web video from Dec. 16, 2011 (posted Dec. 1).

Obama: Obviously not only does it make me feel great to know that there are folks out there who are you know concerned about the same things I'm concerned about, who want to build our middle class and put people back to work and make sure that we're going to win the future by investing in infrastructure and education and science and research, but it also helps motivate me to know that a lot of the support that I have out there are folks who you know they've got their own struggles, they've got their own you know challenges and yet they're still taking time to be out there volunteering, working on the campaign, working on issues, trying to get you know their congressman to vote for a health care bill or our jobs plan.  You know that reminds me that this campaign and my presidency has never just been about me.  It's always about the American people and doing everything we can so that they get a fair shake.

Notes: According to the Dec. 16 blog entry,

President Obama knows we’re all in this together, and that’s why he wants to have dinner with you. Take it from the man himself in this previously unreleased video clip from behind the scenes at the last Dinner with Barack—then toss your name into the hat to attend the next one.
