"Rick Perry - America's Jobs Governor" +
  2:20 web video from Oct. 18, 2011.

[Music] Female News Announcer: Perry was really the big winner in our study.  Now take a look at a number of metrics.  He has the best jobs record in his state during his tenure, better than Utah under Huntsman, who would have been in second or Massachusetts under Romney who would be last...Americans' jobs governor.

Perry: The men and women of U.S. Steel, thank you all for having me here today.  Great to be in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, the city built on the work and the hopes and the dreams of blue collar American workers.  The central issue facing Americans is a lack of jobs.  There are 14 million Americans without work today.  Our president has labeled Americans as soft.  Well I believe our people have toughed it out the best that they can, but they're looking for leadership, and they're looking for optimism.  [applause] The plan that I present this morning, Energizing American Jobs and Security, will kick-start the economic growth of this country and create 1.2 million jobs.  And it can be implemented.  I offer a plan that will create more than a million good paying American jobs across every sector of the economy.  We're standing on top of the next American economic boom, and it's the energy underneath this country, and the quickest way to give our economy a shot in the arm is to deploy the American ingenuity to tap American energy.  We must get America working again to create a new wave of American independence—energy independence.  End the over-regulation.  End the excess litigation.  End the bureaucratic intimidation.  Let's get back to what we know works and that's to get America working again.  Make what Americans buy, buy what Americans make, and sell it to the world.  God bless you and thank you all for coming out to be with us.  [applause]

Notes: The video is based on Perry's speech at the United States Steel Mon Valley Works Irvin Plant in West Mifflin, PA on Oct. 14.  There are definite signs of the Lucas Baiano touch including the swelling music and the many fast cuts.  According to the Oct. 18 press release: "Last week, Gov. Rick Perry unveiled his Energizing American Jobs and Security plan to create up to 1.2 million jobs and reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil. The Perry campaign today released a video highlighting the governor’s comprehensive energy plan, which marks the first part of a broader package of economic reforms that he will present to the American people in the coming days."
