Romney for President Primary Ads, 2011-12

Twenty-three Romney for President television ads were noted in the period from Nov. 21, 2011 to April 3, 2012.  The ads present Romney as conservative businessman who will bring fiscal responsibility to the government.  Three of the ads attack Gingrich and four attack Santorum.

Restore Our Future Primary Ads, 2011-12

Consideration of the Romney television advertising presence would not be complete without consideration of the ads run by the independent super PAC Restore Our Future.  Sixteen Restore Our Future television ads were noted in the period from Dec. 7, 2011 to March 27, 2012.  Fourteen of these ads were attacks on primary opponents, eight hitting Gingrich (one of which included Perry as well) and six going after Santorum.  The first ad contrasted Romney and Obama.  "Saved," a recycled '08 campaign ad run starting Feb. 27, highlighted an incident from Romney's business career.
