Notes: This video continues Romney's focus
on the economy. The DNC responded with a fact check which
included the following summary:
Mitt
Romney released another video attacking President Obama on the economy
today - a curious approach from an individual who has embraced the very
failed economic policies of the last decade which nearly sank our
economy into a second Great Depression and who was an unqualified
failure on the issue of jobs as Governor of Massachusetts. So, as Mitt
Romney continues to attack the President and hold himself out as
someone who can lead on the economy we have a few questions reporters
and voters should be asking him followed by a fact check on the video
released today:
What
about finishing 47th out of 50 in job creation as Governor of
Massachusetts makes you qualified to lead on the issue of jobs?
As
Governor, you lost manufacturing jobs at twice the national rate. Why
would Americans want a person with that record of failure at the helm
of our economy?
You claim to have a vision for the American economy but have simply embraced the failed policies of the last decade that resulted in the worst financial crisis in decades. If those failed policies didn't work for America then why are you embracing them now?
