Obama for America

"Two Republican Nominees" +
  1:36 web video from May 29, 2012.

TEXT: As the Republican nominee, John McCain stood up to the voices of extremism in his party

Clips from '08:
Man: We're scared of an Obama presidency.
McCain: I have to tell you he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared as president of the United States.

Woman: I have read about him; he's an Arab.
McCain: No ma'am.  No ma'am.  He's a decent family man, citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with.

TEXT: Why won't Mitt Romney do the same?

Trump: Why doesn't he show his birth certificate...

Trump: He doesn't have a birth certificate.  Now he may have one but there's something on that birth cert.--it may be religion; maybe it says he's a Muslim.

Trump: I think I really did a great job in getting him to—well I mean first of all I haven't seen it.  I'll look at it later; I don't need to look at your copy.

Newsperson: In an interview with the Daily Beast's Lloyd Grove, Donald Trump would not back down.  He said that he was born in Kenya, raised in Indonesia...

Gloria Borger (CNN Chief Political Analyst): So why is Mitt Romney sort of throwing a party with Donald Trump to raise money?
Eric Fehrnstrom: I can't speak for Donald Trump, Gloria.
Eric Fehrnstrom: As I said, you know, Mitt Romney has made it clear that this is not an issue for him.
Eric Fehrnstrom: The candidate can't be responsible for everything that their supporters say.

Trump (on The View): I loved running.  I was having like a great time—you knew that Barbara—and I was doing fantastically in the polls, but I really became friendly with Mitt Romney...

TEXT: McCain and Romney: Two Republican nominees
Only one willing to lead

Trump: You're Fired.

Notes: Trump again raised the issue of Obama's birth certificate in a May 25 interview with The Daily Beast.  Romney was doing a fundraiser with Trump at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, NV on this evening.
