Obama for America

"National Day of Action" +
  2:08 web video from May 18, 2012.

Woman (Elan, Florida): I'm here today for the Day of Action.

[Music]

We are in Charlottesville, Virginia...   Wisconsin...   Ohio...   Charlotte, North Carolina...   We're here in Florida...   New Mexico...   Las Vegas...

Elan, Florida: I can't think of a better way to spend my Saturday than making sure that everyone gets the chance to participate and be counted in the 2012 election.

Clip: Who's fired up?
Woman: And we're ready to go...
Man: Alright, let's do it...

Patty, Virginia: We're going door to door today so that we can re-elect President Obama.

Man: We can't afford to go back; we need to continue it, and that's why I'm out here.

Margaret, North Carolina: What is really at stake is the job that has to be completed.  So what we're doing now is just making sure that we can continue moving in the right direction.

Taylor, Ohio: I want to do everything in my ability to help him get re-elected.

Nat. Sound: Are you a registered voter?

Angela & Luci, North Carolina: I have a daughter who's going to be affected by what the government does, and that's why I'm involved.

Nat. Sound: Are you registered to vote?

Vincent, New Mexico: I'm out here because it's really important that everyone have their piece in the decision making process, and that's all tied to registration.

Nat. Sound: Thank you.

Mamie, Wisconsin: When I register someone to vote, it makes me feel good; it makes me feel proud because they're having a voice in what's going on in the country too.

Pat, North Carolina: It's an awesome feeling knowing that you are doing something that contributes good to the entire community.

Mark, Virginia: Every little thing that everyone does can make a difference.  Smallness, discussion with somebody can make a difference.

Laura, North Carolina: You can find something that fits in with your lifestyle, with your time, with your skill, with your interest, and you just do what you can do.

Bruce, Florida: And if there's thousands and thousands of us doing it, it's going to be enough to put us over the top in November.

Nat. Sound: President Obama 2012.

Grace, Florida: I am going to keep volunteering until he wins.

Karen, North Carolina: There's really no time to slow down between now and the election and everybody needs to work as hard as they can, full speed ahead.

Barbara, North Carolina: We need all the votes we can get.  It's going to take all of us, working together, every day to get our president re-elected.

This is great...   Gracias...   Thank you very much and don't forget to vote.

Notes: Lots of North Carolinians in this video.
