"Raising The Flag" +
  2:42 web video from June 14, 2012.

Woman: The flag represents Americans, all Americans—Asian-Americans, Latin-Americans, African-Americans; it's the unity of all of us as one country.

[Music]

Man: In essence, the flag is just fabric, just the same as the Bible is just paper.  It's much more than the material that it's made out of.  You can take the flag and that flag can represent hope, and that's what stands America apart from the other countries.  We are a land of opportunity.

Man: That flag represents the spirit that has brought this country together, the spirit that is America...

Man: The flag is pain, it's blood, it's courage, it's victory, it's life.

Woman: It's about our unity.  It's about the things we share.  It's about all the good things.

Woman: I heard someone say that the flag symbolizes being lucky, and I agree; I feel very lucky to have been born in this country.

Man: My grandson is going to have a better life than I did.  I had a better life than my dad did.  My dad had a better life than his dad did.

Man: And I put that flag up and I say to myself, I want the country that I grew up in to be the country that my children, my grandchildren can enjoy and continue to, to have the freedom to seek their future and their prosperity.

Woman: All our hopes and asperations are as Americans and that to me is what the flag is.  It's what unites all of us with this one image of what our country is and what our country we all hope to be.

Man: It's one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.  That's to me what the flag stands for.

Man: Each day, across this great land, millions of Americans raise the flag, some out of pride of country, others to honor a fallen loved one.  In these tough times, many Americans raise the flag to simply say, I believe in the promise of America and I believe tomorrow will be even better than today.

Woman: No matter what we are going to be going through, we'll come through it stronger and better.

Notes: According to the video description, "As the sun rises each day, millions of Americans raise the flag in a silent salute to our country and the values it represents.  On this Flag Day, let us remember what the flag symbolizes and the many who have sacrificed so that we may fly it proudly."
