Senator Jack Whitver
Endorses Bachmann for President
Ankeny, IA – The Bachmann for President campaign announced today that
Ankeny Senator, small business owner, and former Iowa State football
player Jack Whitver has endorsed Minnesota Congresswoman Michele
Bachmann for the Republican Presidential nomination in the 2012 Iowa
Presidential caucus.
"I'm incredibly excited to have Senator Whitver's support. He's a team
player with proven dedication and leadership skills. His experience as
a small business owner, legislator and leader in his community will be
a tremendous addition to our campaign." Bachmann said.
Senator Whitver is a husband, father and the owner of Acceleration
Iowa, a sports training business with three locations across central
Iowa. Whitver made a name for himself with the Iowa State football
team, where he was a three-year starter and helped the Cyclones to
three bowl games. Whitver was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2011 and
serves on the Judiciary, Human Resources and Economic Growth Committee.
"I've studied the field, reviewed the candidates and have come to the
conclusion that Michele Bachmann is the candidate that best embodies my
views and hopes for Iowa and our nation." Whitver said in a prepared
statement. "She knows that hard work and the creative spirit of
individuals made this country great. She understands that big
government, higher taxes and increased government spending are not the
answer to our current economic troubles. Michele Bachmann is a
principled reformer with a winning spirit and I'm proud to join her
team."
