RNC Announces 2012 Republican National Convention Dates
WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee today announced its decision to hold the 2012 Republican National Convention the week of August 27th 2012.
“I’m excited to take this important next step by announcing the dates for our 2012 Republican National Convention. With the possible host cities narrowed down to three, this is a proper time to announce the dates where we will formally determine our next Republican nominee,” RNC Chairman Michael Steele said. “The 12 members of the RNC’s site selection committee will visit Phoenix, Tampa and Salt Lake City in late March and early April to determine the city where our National Convention will be held the week of August 27th 2012.
We are excited to visit these cities and think that they offer excellent opportunities to showcase our candidates, Republican Presidential nominee and Party.” RNC Co-Chairman Jan Larimer of Wyoming said.
