The campaign finished with a core staff of about 18.  At the time of the Green Party Convention in mid-July 2012 the campaign had about a dozen staff; it was able to expand after obtaining federal matching funds.  Ballot access was a major preoccupation through to September. 


Campaign Manager  Ben Manski

(Nov. 2011)  Over two decades of experience in Green Party politics; Manski joined the Greens in 1990 at age 16. Founder and executive director of the Liberty Tree Foundation, principal attorney at Manski Law, LLC, co-owner of the green business network PosiPair.com, and member of the sociology faculty at MATC.  Green Party candidate for Wisconsin Assembly District 77 (Madison's West Side) in 2010.  Elected co-chair of the Green Party of the United States in 2001, and worked as national director of the Campus Greens USA.  Midwest field director on Nader 2000.  J.D. from University of Wisconsin, 2005; B.A. in sociology from University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1999.  Ran for Dan County Board in 1996, winning 49.8% of the vote.  Grew up in Madison.  twitter

A labor activist in New York City. He has worked on organizing campaigns in the Longshoremen's union and the Teamsters. He was an early, leading activist in United Students Against Sweatshops as well as the Books Not Bombs student strikes.

Experience includes online organizer for GreenChange.org, and translator and teacher of English as a foreign language.

Has been involved with organizations like Hip Hop Congress, the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, the Women's Economic Agenda Project, The Umojafest P.E.A.C.E. Center and Silicon Valley De-Bug, among others.

A formally homeless youth and formally homeless mother. Colon is a member of the Kensington Welfare Rights Union and one of the founders of the national Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign.

Governor in 2010.  Candidate for City Council in District 39 in Brooklyn in 2001 and 2003 and challenged the Brooklyn Borough President in 2005.  Active in the Green Party of New York since 2001.  Involved in the Founding Convention of the Labor Party.  Mattera has worked with under served, immigrant children and their families in the NYC public hospital system for over 20 years.  Taught children with special needs for 5 years.  M.Ed. in special education from Bank Street College of Education.  Lifelong resident of Brooklyn.

Associate Campaign Manager  Anthony Price
(announced Jan. 30, 2012)  Over forty years of labor organizing in a wide variety of positions with the Steelworkers, Teamsters, National Treasury Employees Union, SEIU and IFPTE. He was elected to his first union position at the age of 17 as Chief Shop Steward with Teamsters Local 986 in Vernon, California.  He is a practicing lawyer and officer of the National Lawyers Guild.
