Tampa, Fla. – With the goal
of making the 2012 Republican National Convention the most seamlessly
connected event possible, the Committee on Arrangements (COA) has
selected Bright House Networks as the official
telecommunications provider for the event, to be held August 27-30,
2012 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
In this capacity, Bright House Networks will be the exclusive vendor and provider of video, high-speed data and wireline voice services to the COA and convention attendees, vendors, and media. The company will offer a broad range of video and communications options, including dedicated access Internet services scalable from ten megabits per second (Mbps) to one gigabit per second (Gbps) and metro Ethernet.
“Bright House Networks is an ideal partner for us as we plan the 2012 Republican National Convention. We are pleased to welcome them as our telecommunications provider,” said convention Chief Executive Officer William Harris. “The company is committed to the Tampa Bay area, and it has one of the most advanced fiber optic networks available in the industry. Its services will be instrumental in helping delegates and members of the media communicate seamlessly during the convention.”
