An Olympic inspired welcome dinner
will start the official RNC Site Selection visit. Joined by the Host
Committee and hosted by former Utah Senate and current Chamber
President and CEO Lane Beattie along with members from Utah’s business
community will join our Salt Lake Host Committee for an evening of
welcome and presentations on the Salt Lake bid.
Tuesday
April 6, 2010
Morning business meeting where Salt Lake Host Committee members will
join the site selection delegation and present details on the financial
plans, and the Security Plans for the Salt Lake bid.
Tour of Downtown SLC w/Bruce Bingham past Chair Downtown Alliance
Tour of Utah Olympic Park
o 4-5 members from the Park City
Hospitality community and Gold Medal Winner Steve Holcomb will welcome
the site selection delegation and present the plans for Park City and
other outlying hospitality community’s involvement in the hosting
responsibilities.
Afternoon tour in Salt Lake.
o Tour of Historic Temple Square and
the Conference Center ending at the Family History Library where the
delegation will do their genealogy.

Dinner and Utah Jazz vs. Oklahoma City Thunder basket ball game at the
ESA hosted by Greg Miller and Gail Miller, and members from the Salt
Lake Host Committee.
After hours “RNC Village Experience” with dessert and discussion as we
watch the people leave the ESA and head in to Salt Lake.
Wednesday
April 7, 2010
Business meeting hosted by members from the host committee with
presentations on the delegate experience and the Destination Ambassador
program from our bid presentation.
Full Site Tour of Energy Solutions Arena and the Salt Palace Convention
Center.
o SPCC walk through with entire
delegation joined by members of the Salt Palace operations team
o ESA walk through with entire delegation hosted by Gail Miller and
various members of the Energy Solutions operations team
Site Selection Official Visit Ends.
o RNC will leave ESA and take Trax
back to the Grand America
