From the state-of-the-art St. Pete Times Forum (the proposed site for the 2012 convention) to Tropicana Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays, the Site Selection Committee toured some of the best meeting and convention facilities in the nation. Additionally, the Site Selection Committee experienced some of Tampa-St. Petersburg’s arts and culture with visits to the brand new Tampa Museum of Art, David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa Theatre, and others.  The Committee also indulged in some delectable dining options at the world-famous Columbia Restaurant in Historic Ybor City, and got the scoop on accommodations with visits to the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, Don Cesar Beach Resort and the Renaissance Vinoy Resort, among others.
