>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Iowa on December 27, 2011-January 3, 2012, doing a 44-city Jobs and Prosperity bus tour leading up to the caucuses
On December 27 he spoke at a luncheon meeting of the Dubuque Rotary Club at Dubuque Golf and Country Club, followed by a media avail.; spoke at the National Farm Toy Musuem in Dyersville; and spoke at Mabes Pizza in Decorah.
On December 28 in Mason City he met with the ed. board of the Globe Gazette, did an event at Southbridge Mall in Center Court, and made an unannounced stop at Jitters; he did an event at The Chocolate Season in Algona; made an unannounced visit to the Hy-Vee in Spencer, followed by the scheduled event at La Chiesa Restaurant in Spencer; and made an unannounced stop at Blue Bunny in Le Mars, followed by the scheduled event at the Pizza Ranch in Le Mars.
On December 29 in Sioux City he did FOX and Friends from Harvey's, and made scheduled stops at Coffee Works, at his campaign office on Pierce Street, and at United Center in Sioux City; a town hall at Regatta Grill in Storm Lake where he received the endorsement of Art Laffer; an event at the Boulders Inn in Denison; and an event at Santa Maria Vineyard and Winery in Carroll.  Overnight in Des Moines.
On December 30 he spoke to a breakfast meeting of the Des Moines Rotary Club at the Wakonda Club in Des Moines; participated in CafeMom's Moms Matter 2012 forum at Java Joe's in Des Moines; stopped at Adams Expresso & Soda Shoppe in Creston; and stopped at M's Fine Dining in Shenandoah.  Overnight in Council Bluffs.
On December 31 he made a scheduled stop at Tish's Restaurant in Sioux City; held a town hall at Atlantic Bottling in Atlantic; and made a surprise visit to his campaign headquarters.  Overnight in Des Moines.
On January 1 he attended morning mass at St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines; did an event at West Towne Pub in Ames; an event at Junction Sports Bar and Grill in Marshalltown; and an event at LJs Neighborhood Bar and Grill in Waterloo.  Overnight in Waterloo.
On January 2 he toured the Heartland Acres Agribition Center in Independence; held a town hall at Schrader Excavation and Grading in Walford (Cedar Rapids); and visited his Davenport office on W. 76th Street and did a tele-town hall; and did an event at Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport.  Overnight in Davenport.
On January 3 he did a meet and greet at Elly's Tea in Muscatine; a meet and greet at The Drake Restaurant in Burlington; spoke at the Black Hawk County caucus gathering at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls; and appear at his caucus night party at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center/Iowa Events Center (Veterans Auditorium) in Des Moines.

On December 19 he visited with employees gave brief remarks and took questions at Global Security Services in Davenport; and participated in a town hall meeting at Level 10 Apparel in Hiawatha (House Speaker Krieg Paulsen announced his endorsement), afterwards he and Callista did in a book signing.
On December 20, with Callista, he met shoppers at the Hy-Vee grocery store in Mount Pleasant; met with employees and tour Al-jon Manufacturing in Ottumwa; met with local supporters at Smokey Row Coffee House in Oskaloosa; and did a meet and greet at the Swamp Fox Restaurant in Knoxville.
On December 21 he held a news conference to announce the endorsements of Iowa Speaker of the House Kraig Paulsen and New Hampshire Speaker of the House Bill O'Brien at the State Capitol (Supreme Court Room) in Des Moines.  (then to New Hampshire).


>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Iowa on December 14-15, 2011.  On December 14 he met with the ed. board of the Cedar Rapids Gazette at their offices in Cedar Rapids; participated in a discussion about the importance of brain science research organized by University of Iowa Students for Newt Gingrich at the Medical Education Research Facility in Iowa City; and spoke at "The Gift of Life" premiere in Des Moines.  On December 15 he did one of the "Conversations with the Candidates" and also recorded "Iowa Press" at IPTV studios in Johnston; met with the Des Moines Register editorial board; held a meet and greet at Willow Ridge Golf Course in Fort Dodge; and participated in the debate at the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City.

>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Des Moines, Iowa on December 10, 2011.  Accompanied by Callista he spoke at the Iowa Veterans GOP Presidential Candidate Forum at Varsity Theater across from Drake University; he and Callista attended the grand opening of the Urbandale campaign office at 11386 Aurora Ave.; and he participated in the ABC News/Republican Party of Iowa Debate at Drake University.

NOVEMBER
>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Iowa on November 30-December 1, 2011.  On the evening of November 30 he participated in the "Slice the Deficit" Pizza Party hosted by Strong America Now at the Pizza King in Council Bluffs.  On December 1 he spoke to employees of Nationwide Insurance and signed the Americans for Securing the Border's Fence by a Date Certain Pledge at Nationwide Insurance in Des Moines; spoke at the Annual Meeting of the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives in West Des Moines; and headlined the Polk County GOP dinner at Foxboro Conference Center in Johnston.

>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visied Iowa on November 19, 2011.  He participated in The FAMiLY LEADER Thanksgiving Family Forum in Des Moines; and attended Gov. Terry Branstad's 65th Birthday Celebration at Adventureland Park in Altoona.

On November 14 he spoke on a path to returning to a balanced budget at GuideOne Insurance in West Des Moines; attended a meet and greet sponsored by the Greene County Republicans at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson; and he and wife Callista did a reception and book signing and screened
Nine Days That Changed the World at Santa Maria Winery in Carroll.
On November 15 he met with employees at Sukup Manufacturing in Sheffield; spoke on American Exceptionalism to members of the Hamilton County GOP and did a book signing at the 2nd Street Emporium in Webster City; spoke to students at Osage Middle School in Osage; and visited the North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City.
On November 16 he headlined a fundraiser for Jeff Mullen, a candidate for the Iowa State Senate, at the Machine Shed Restaurant in Urbandale; and participated in Politico's "Energy and the Presidency" forum at the Embassy Club in Des Moines.

On October 24 he held a town hall meeting at Figge Auditorium in Davenport; participated in a roundtable with local small business owners hosted by state Rep. Brian Moore at Obie's Restaurant in Maquoketa; (Callista did a signing at River Lights Bookstore in Dubuque); and he and Callista appeared at Loras College in Dubuque to screen Nine Days that Changed the World and do a reception and book signing.  counted as 1 visit, 2 days.

SEPTEMBER
>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich campaigned in Iowa on September 29-30, 2011In Des Moines on September 29 he unveiled a "21st Century Contract with America" at a town hall meeting with employees of the Principal Financial Group; and met with grassroot activists at Republican Party of Iowa headquarters.  On September 30 he did breakfast with grassroots activists at the Best Western Starlite Village in Fort Dodge; and held a town hall meeting on "Science, Technology and Jobs" at Iowa State University, Memorial Union as part of the 2012 Iowa State University Presidential Caucus Series, followed by a tour of the Virtual Reality Application Center.

>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visited western Iowa on September 19-20, 2011.  On the evening of September 19 he spoke and he and Callista screened their documentary
A City Upon A Hill at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs.  On September 20 he led a town hall meeting in the Olsen Student Center at Morningside College in Sioux City.

August 12 he visited the Iowa State Fair including speaking at the Des Moines Register "Soapbox" and a stop at the Iowa Pork Producers tent.

appeared at the PURSE PAC breakfast at the Gateway Hotel in Ames; and stopped in at the Iowa Straw Poll (planned stops were American Wind Energy Association, The Iowa Republican/Google tent and Strong America Now).

JULY

>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Iowa on July 30-31, 2011 (Callista was to play in the alumni band at Luther College this weekend).  On July 30 he
attended the Nordic Fest fire department pancake breakfast and marched in the Nordic Fest parade in Decorah; and with Rep. Josh Byrnes attended the Mitchell County Fair in Osage.  On July 31 he had lunch at Mabe's Pizza in Decorah otr.

>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Iowa on July 15-16, 2011.  On the morning of July 15 in Des Moines he spoke to the Conservative Breakfast Club at the Wakonda Club in Des Moines; and appeared on Mickelson in the Morning at WHO in Des Moines; [big gap]; and in the evening he did meet and greet with supporters of state Rep. Scott Raecker at Principal Park in Des Moines, then attended the Iowa Cubs vs. Okalahoma Red Hawks baseball game, including being a special guest during the radio broadcast of the game (Cubs won 7-1).  On July 16 he did a townhall Q&A hosted by the local Tea Party at Lamoni High School Commons in Lamoni; stopped for lunch at the Pizza Shack in Lamoni; visited John Wayne's birthplace in Winterset; and visited the Dallas County Fair in Adel.  Left morning of July 17.


>Former Speaker Newt Gingrich
visited Iowa on July 11, 2011.  He participated in The FAMiLY LEADER's Presidential Lecture Series, doing two stops: Dordt College in Sioux Center, Pella Christian High School in Pella, and the University of Iowa in Iowa City.  (On July 6 The FAMiLY LEADER announced that the Dordt College stop is postponed until a date tbd due to a Gingrich scheduling conflict).  In the evening he spoke briefly at and he and Callista screened A City Upon a Hill at an Iowa Conservative Union rally at the Long Branch Hotel and Convention Center in Cedar Rapids.

On May 19 he held five meetings with activists: at Ramada Inn Hotel & Convention Center in Waterloo; at Marshalltown Public Library in Marshalltown; at Olde Main Brewery in Ames; at Santa Maria Vineyard and Winery in Carroll; and at the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce in Atlantic. 
On May 20, he met with activists at Tish's Restaurant in Council Bluffs; met with activists at Onawa Public Library in Onawa; was the keynote speaker at a Republican Jewish Coalition luncheon at Eldon's Restaurant in Sioux City; met with activists at Le Mars City Library in Le Mars; met with activists at King's Pointe Resort in Storm Lake; and headline two Ida County Republican Party fundraisers--
a Trunk and Tusk reception at the home of Mark Leonard and followed by a dinner at the Lohff Schumann Memorial Community Center Gymnasium--in Holstein
On May 21 he toured the festival grounds  of the Orange City Tulip Fest in Orange City; and met with activists at Cook's Caf
é in Sheldon.

>Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Iowa on May 16-17, 2011.  On May 16 he was the keynote speaker at a Dubuque Kiwanis Club luncheon at the Dubuque Holiday Inn in Dubuque; met with activists at Eastern Iowa Airport/PS Air FBO in Cedar Rapids; and met with activists at
Embassy Suites On the River in Des Moines.  On May 17 he made an off-schedule stop at the McDonald's in Clear Lake; and met with activists at Mason City Municipal Airport in Mason City.  (Note: On May 18 Gingrich spoke to the Minnesota Family Council at the Minneapolis Hilton; during a book signing with Callista he was hit by a glitter dump, and in the evening did an event in Holman, WI; he resumed Iowa events on May 19.  Also note: MR's Jennifer Jacobs reported on May 2 that Gingrich and wife Callista had been scheduled to do a presentation on "Nine Days that Changed the World" at the Basilica of St. John in Des Moines on May 16, but officials canceled the event because of the possible conflict of interest).

Steve King's Conservative Principles Conference at the Marriott in Des Moines.
