>Former Gov. Gary Johnson ran the Quad-City Times Bix 7 in Davenport, Iowa on July 30, 2011.

>Former Gov. Gary Johnson visited Iowa on June 17-18, 2011.  On the evening of June 17 he appeared at an Iowa Tea Party bus tour event at Cedar Rapids Library-Westdale Mall in Cedar Rapids; and on June 18 he attended Strong America Now's "Deficit Free America Summit" at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines.


>Former Gov. Gary Johnson, excluded from the New Hampshire debate, spoke at the kick-off of the Iowa Tea Party's bus tour at the Elks Lodge in Council Bluffs, Iowa on the evening of June 13, 2011.


>Former Gov. Gary Johnson visited Iowa on January 19-21, 2011 to "visit college campuses and meet with groups that advocate for Liberty;" the trip included a lot of interviews.  On January 19 he did interviews with KCCI, WHO-TV and The Iowa Republican in the morning; private meetings; and via Skype an online lecture "Revenue/Expenditure and Feasibility Analyses" to the entrepreneurial programs at the University of Iowa, University of Northern Iowa, Iowa State University, Drake University, and NIACC.  On January 20 he did interviews with the Iowa State Daily and Ames Tribune; private meetings (according to Steve Hoodjer's Iowa Freedom Report, he was scheduled to make a stop in Hampton); and made an appearance at the regular business meeting of Black Hawk County GOP central committee.  On January 21 he did an interview with the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier; appeared on the Jan Mickelson show on WHO Radio in Des Moines; and did interviews with the Marshalltown Times Republican and the Newton Daily News.

Former Gov. Gary Johnson visited Iowa from August 30-September 1, 2010.  On August 30 appeared on
Deace in the Afternoon on 1040 WHO in Des Moines and spoke at an event for Iowa Patients for Medical Marijuana at Des Moines Central Public Library.  On August 31 he spoke at a Students for Liberty and University of Iowa Students for Sensible Drug Policy event at the University of Iowa's Hubbard Park (next to IMU) in Iowa City.  On the afternoon of September 1 he spoke at a Meetup hosted by Super Liberty at the Thunder Bay Grille in Davenport.

>Former Gov. Gary Johnson rode in the 38th annual RAGBRAI, going 442 miles from Sioux City to Dubuque, Iowa from July 25-31, 2010. Johnson planned to "host public events at the end of each day’s ride during RAGBRAI, where he will meet and discuss pertinent issues of the day."  Due to a flight cancellation he arrived in Omaha at 10 a.m. on July 25, the very morning the ride began.
July 25 - Riding from Sioux City to Storm Lake, he reported a flat at mile 8
("Things can only get better from here."). 

July 26 - After 78-mile ride from Storm Lake to Algona, dinner at Nick's Pizza and Steakhouse. 
July 27 - Ride from Algona to Clear Lake ("103 degree heat and no cloud cover for today's 60 mile ride to Clear Lake."); evening meeting with a local Tea Party group at Southbridge Mall in Mason City. 

July 28 - Clear Lake to Charles City. 
July 29 - Charles City to Waterloo.  He spoke and took questions followed by a performance from Jake Dilley & the Color Pharmacy
at the main pro shop at South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo.
July 30 - Waterloo to Manchester ("Wind and rain filled ride today...").  He spoke and took questions followed by a performance from Jake Dilley & the Color Pharmacy at the Dance Hall at Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester.
July 31 - Manchester to Dubuque. GOP Fair Booth in Dubuque.
