>Former Gov. Mitt Romney visited Iowa on December 31, 2011-January 3, 2012.
(Arriving from NH)
on December 31 in Le Mars he made an unannounced stop at Blue Bunny where he had a rocky road ice cream, then he discussed jobs and the economy at Family Table Restaurant; and he held a town hall meeting at Stoney Creek Inn in Sioux City.
On the afternoon of January 1 he discussed jobs and the economy at Family Table Restaurant in Atlantic; and held a grassroots rally at Bayliss Park Hall in Council Bluffs.

On January 2 he held grassroots rallies a Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport; at Weber Paper in Dubuque; at Pate Asphalt in Marion; and at Competitive Edge in Clive.
On January 3 in the morning he held a grassroots rally at the Temple for the Performing Arts in Des Moines; and a caucus night event at the Hotel Fort Des Moines in Des Moines.

>Former Gov. Mitt Romney visited Iowa on December 27-30, 2011, including a bus tour on December 28-30.
(Arriving from NH) On late afternoon/early evening of December 27 he delivered remarks at the Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport. 
On December 28 on his bus tour he made a stop at Elly’s Tea & Coffee in Muscatine; an improvised rally at Rastrelli's restaurant due to overflow crowd and a scheduled rally at Homer’s Deli & Sweetheart Bakery in Clinton; and a stop at Centro Incorporated in North Liberty.
On December 29 on his bus tour he met with voters and discussed jobs and the economy at J's Homestyle Cooking in Cedar Falls; met with voters and discuss jobs and the eoonomy at Music Man Square in Mason City; and held a grassroots rally at Kinzler Construction in Ames.
On December 30 he rallied with Gov. Chris Christie outside the Hy-Vee Westlakes Shore in West Des Moines. 
(then to New Hampshire).

>Former Gov. Mitt Romney visited Iowa on December 15-16, 2011.  On the evening of December 15 he participated in the FOX News debate at the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City.  On the morning of December 16 in Sioux City he toured Missouri Valley Steel and spoke about jobs and the economy with employees and supporters,  (next stop, South Carolina...first appearance of a Romney plane)

(Ann Romney is scheduled to visit Iowa on December 13-14, 2011.  On the evening of December 13 she plans to attend a fundraiser for State Rep. Renee Schulte a the home of Michael and Karen Zmoos in Robins.  On December 14 she plans to attend a house party at the home of Deana Romriell in Council Bluffs).

>Former Gov. Mitt Romney visited Iowa on December 9-10, 2011.
   On December 9 he met with the Des Moines Register editorial board.  On December 10 he discussed jobs and the economy at Diamond V, South Plant in Cedar Rapids; made a surprise visit to his campaign headquarters on Ingersoll Ave. in Des Moines; and participated in the ABC News/Republican Party of Iowa Debate at Drake University.

scheduled to attend a "Women for Mitt" event at the home of Sumner and Karen Wort in West Des Moines, Iowa on the afternoon of December 9).

NOVEMBER
>Former Gov. Mitt Romney received the endorsement of Sen. John Thune (SD) and addressed employees at Nationwide Insurance in Des Moines, Iowa on the morning of November 23, 2011.


>Former Gov. Mitt Romney visited Iowa on November 7, 2011.  He spoke at Giese Manufacturing in Dubuque; and spoke at Iowa American Water Co. in Davenport.

OCTOBER
>Former Gov. Mitt Romney visited Iowa on October 20, 2011.  He held a town hall meeting at Morningside College in Sioux City; held an economic roundtable at Treynor State Bank in Treynor; and attended a meet and greet with the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce at their office on West Broadway in Council Bluffs.


(Ann Romney is scheduled to visit Iowa on October 4-6, 2011.  On October 4 she plans to attend a fundraiser for Dallas County recorder Chad Airhart in Adel.  On October 5 she plans to attend lunch with Senate special election candidate Cindy Golding at Linn County GOP headquarters in Marion.  On October 6 she plans to attend a fundraiser for State Rep. Linda Miller at The Lodge in Bettendorf.)

Mitt Romney visited Iowa on August 10-11, 2011On August 10 in Pella he made an unannounced stop at Jaarsma Bakery and then held a business roundtable followed by a media availability at Vermeer Corporation; and he attended a Polk County Republican Party fundraiser at the Van Patten residence in Des Moines.  On August 11 he visited the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines including stops the Des Moines Register "Soapbox," the Pork Producers Tent and the Republican Party of Iowa booth; and participated in the Republican Party of Iowa/FOX News/Washington Examiner Debate in Ames.

[Note: Former Gov. Mitt Romney held a tele-town hall on the evening of July 18, 2011; the Des Moines Register reported that 9,820 Iowans participated in the half hour telephone call].

>Former Gov. Mitt Romney visited Iowa on May 27, 2011.  He met with employees at Ag Vision Agriculture Software in Ankeny; was the inaugural speaker in the Greater Des Moines Partnership/Medicom/Iowa Politics.com 2012 Presidential Candidate Series at the State Historical Building in Des Moines (interrupted by fire alarm); and in the early evening attended a BBQ picnic with the Linn and Johnson County Republican committees at the Dwight Hughes Nursery and Farm in Cedar Rapids.   note: in Des Moines, seq. unclear, Romney also paid a surprise visit to Republican Party of Iowa headquarters.

2010
>Former Gov. Mitt Romney campaigned with former Gov. Terry Branstad and running mate Kim Reynolds in Iowa on October 26, 2010.  They held a "Road to Victory" rally at The Hotel at Kirkwood in Cedar Rapids, proceeded by campaign RV through Maquoketa and DeWitt to Dubuque; held a "Road to Victory" rally at Grand River Center in Dubuque; and in the evening Romney keynoted the Scott County GOP's 2nd Annual Ronald Reagan Dinner at the QC Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf.

Mitt Romney visited Iowa on March 29, 2010 as part of his book tour for No ApologyHe did a speech and book signing at Des Moines Public Library; and in the evening spoke at Iowa State University in Ames.  Politico's Jonathan Martin reports Romney also did a "small fundraiser for the Iowa Republican Party and met separately with state GOP Chairman Matt Strawn and Branstad in the morning, hosted a get-together for his 2008 supporters in the afternoon and addressed a group of College Republicans before his Ames speech."
