JANUARY
>Rep. Michele Bachmann was scheduled to visit SC on January 4-6, 2012 (Jan. 3 media advisory).  On January 4 she planned an event at Beef O'Brady's in Fort Mill; on January 5 a house party at the home of Dr. Ron & Shelly Hamilton in Greenville; and on January 6 an event at Fuddruckers in Spartanburg.instead in Iowa on the morning of January 4 she announced suspension of her campaign.

2011
DECEMBER
>Rep. Michele Bachmann visited SC on December 2-4, 2011, doing six book signings for Courage of Conviction.  On December 2 she did a signing at the Books-A-Million in Rock Hill; and a signing at the Barnes & Noble in Greenville.  On December 3 she did a signing at the Books-A-Million in Aiken; and a signing at the Sam's Club in Columbia.  On December 4 she did a signing at the Books-A-Million in Myrtle Beach; and a signing at the Barnes & Noble in Florence.


NOVEMBER

>Rep. Michele Bachmann visited SC on November 10-12, 2011.  On November 10 she delivered a foreign policy address at
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum - USS Yorktown in Mt. Pleasant (disrupted by Occupy Charleston protesters); and did a meet and greet at Lizard's Thicket in West Columbia.  On the morning of November 11 she walked in the 33rd Annual City of Columbia Veterans Day Parade in downtown Columbia.  On the evening of November 12 she participated in the CBS/National Journal foreign policy debate in Spartanburg.

>On September 28, 2011 Rep. Michele Bachmann did an interview with host Bob McLain at WORD FM studios in Greenville, SC followed by a short press availability.  (Bachmann has events in NC on September 29).

>Rep. Michele Bachmann visited SC on September 4-5, 2011.  On September 4 she overnighted at the Governor's Mansion (her second stay there); and on the afternoon of September 5 she participated in the Palmetto Freedom Forum in Columbia.

 

AUGUST

participated in U.S. Rep. Tim Scott's "First in the South" Presidential Town Hall Series at the Complex for Economic Development at Trident Technical College in North Charleston, SC on the evening of August 25, 2011.

On August 16 she held a rally at The Beacon Drive-In in Spartanburg; and a town hall at TD Convention Center (formerly Carolina First Center) in Greenville; and attended a low-dollar fundraiser at the home of Steve and Geri Warren in Greenville (reported by CNN).

On August 18 she held a private meeting with pastors at the Magnolia Room at Laurel Creek in Rock Hill (reported by the Rock Hill Herald); held a rally at the Hall at Senate's End in Columbia; held a closed pastors’ meeting and rally at the Florence Civic Center in Florence (reported by SCNow.com); held a rally hosted by the Florence County Republican Party at Florence Civic Center in Florence; and held a fundraiser at The Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood in Myrtle Beach. 
On August 19 she plans a town hall at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel in Myrtle Beach; and a rally at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum (in front of the USS Yorktown) in Mt. >Rep. Michele Bachmann visited SC on July 18-19, 2011 On the afternoon of July 18 she held a press availability at the Hilton Columbia Center where she signed the Cut, Cap and Balance Pledge; and she overnighted at the Governor's Mansion.  On the morning of July 19 she appeared at a S.C. Christian Chamber of Commerce event at Christ Central Ministries in Columbia; and in Aiken met with supporters during a fundraising luncheon for her campaign at Newberry Hall, then held a "Rally in the Alley" at the corner of Bee Lane and Alley.


JUNE
>Rep. Michele Bachmann visited SC on June 28-29, 2011 as part of her announcement tour.  On the evening of June 28 she did a South Carolina Kick Off at Carlos'n Charlie's Restaurant in Myrtle Beach; and spoke at a Grand Strand Business Association reception at Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach.  On June 29 she held a kick off event at Smythe Park in Charleston (Daniel Island); a kick off event at the Flight Deck Restaurant in Lexington; a kick off event at Magnolia Park in Greenville; and a national town hall meeting at Winthrop University's DiGiorgio Campus Center, Rock Hill.

>Rep. Michele Bachmann visited SC on April 15-18, 2011.  On the evening of April 15 she spoke at a Bachmann for Congress fundraiser at the home of Kimberly Tatro in Bluffton.  On April 16 she spoke to the Bluffton Tea Party at the Golden Corral restaurant; and at a voter registration event at Montana's Grizzly Bar and Restaurant (moved from Buckwalter Place due to threatening weather, and originally scheduled for Old Town Dispensary at Carson Cottages).  On April 17 she was in SC but had no public events. 
On April 18 she met privately with Gov. Nikki Haley in the governor's office; then she and Haley headlined a tax day Tea Party rally at the Capitol in Columbia.     counted as three days...no public events on Sunday

Michele Bachmann visited SC on February 19, 2011 [On the evening of February 18 she had planned to headline a fundraiser for the York County Republican Party at Baxter Hood Center in Rock Hill, but stayed in Washington for votes].  She spoke at a Tea Party meeting at the Cotton House in Irmo; addressed a South Carolina Federation of Republican Women lunch at the Radisson Hotel in Columbia; did a meet and greet at The Palladian Group, SCGOP chair Karen Floyd's consulting firm in Spartanburg; and headlined the President's Day Dinner fundraiser for the Spartanburg County Republican Party at the Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park in Spartanburg.
