2012
JANUARY
>(arriving from NY) Former Gov. Jon Huntsman visited SC on January 14-16, 2012. 
On January 14 he participated in the "Huckabee Forum: South Carolina Undecided" at the College of Charleston in Charleston; and held a town hall meeting at Skull Creek Boathouse in Hilton Head.
On January 15 he attended church in downtown Charleston with former SC Attorney General Henry McMaster; and he did a lunch event at Virginia's on King in Charleston.
On January 16 he plans to give a speech on trust and the broken politics of Washington, DC at the Myrtle Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau in Myrtle Beach; participate in a focus group with Frank Luntz and cafemom.com at Fresh Brewed Coffee House in Myrtle Beach; and participate in the SCGOP/Fox News Channel/Wall Street Journal Presidential Debate at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach. he announced suspension of his campaign at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach.
On the afternoon of January 17 he is scheduled to participate in the SC BIPEC forum at the Marriott Hotel in Columbia.

>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman did a "Country First" tour in SC on January 11-12, 2012.  On January 11 he held a town hall at the University of South Carolina in the Business Hall of Fame at Moore School of Business in Columbia; and held a town hall at North Charleston City Council Chambers in North Charleston.  On the morning of January 12 he spoke a breakfast hosted by the Berkeley County GOP at Honeycomb Cafe on Daniel Island.  (to NY for fundraising)

DECEMBER
>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman, accompanied by wife Mary Kaye, visited SC on December 3, 2011.  He spoke at a Berkeley County Republican breakfast at American Legion Post 166 in Goose Creek; and at a Florence County Republican barbeque at Rogers Barbeque in Florence.


NOVEMBER

>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman participated in the CBS/National Journal foreign policy debate in Spartanburg, SC on the evening of November 12, 2011.

>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman
visited SC on November 2-4, 2011.  On November 2 he participated in a town hall hosted by Sen. Tom Davis and the Sun City GOP at The Pavilion at Sun City in Bluffton; and was guest speaker at the College of Charleston's "Bully Pulpit" series at the College of Charleston in Charleston.  On November 3 he keynoted a SCGOP "First in the South" fundraising breakfast at The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach; made an unannounced stop for barbecue at Palmetto Pig in Columbia; and appeared as part of the Presidential Forum Series at Converse College in Spartanburg.  On the morning of November 4 he did a York County GOP/ Winthrop Presidential Lecture Series town hall in the Tuttle Dining Room at Winthrop University in Rock Hill.

SEPTEMBER
>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman visited SC on September 17, 2011.  He stopped in a
tailgate parties along Avenue of Champions at Clemson University before attending the Clemson-Auburn game; 
and, in Columbia stopped at the Naval Academy tailgate at National Guard Armory
, and at a campaign tailgate/meet and greet volunteers
 near Bluff Road end of Cockabooses before attending the USC/Navy game.


 

AUGUST
>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman announced the endorsement of Attorney General Alan Wilson at a news conference in the 1st Floor Lobby of the Statehouse in Columbia, SC on August 29, 2011.

(Mary Kaye Huntsman scheduled to visit SC on August 15-16, 2011.  On the evening of August 15 she plans to speak to Palmetto House Republican Women at the Spartanburg Marriott.  On August 16 she plans to speak to Charleston County Republican Women at the Country Club of Charleston; and speak at a Midlands Republican Women social at Carolina Wings in Columbia).

>Former Gov. Huntsman visited SC on August 7-8, 2011.  Late afternoon on August 7 he participated in
U.S. Rep. Tim Scott's "First in the South" Presidential Town Hall Series at Charles Towne Landing in Charleston.  On August 8 he toured the Boeing plant in Charleston followed by a offsite media availability.


JULY

>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman visited SC on July 11-12, 2011.  On the evening of July 11 he delivered the keynote address at the Greenville and Spartanburg County Republican Parties' Summer Barbecue fundraiser at Mutt's Barbeque in Greer.  On July 12 in the morning he had private meetings and at mid-day he announced endorsements of the family of the late Gov. Carroll Campbell at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research in Greenville.


JUNE
>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman visited Columbia, SC on June 22, 2011 as part of his announcement tour.  He tour and did a media avail at TEC Infra-Red Grills; did a meet and greet and filed for office at South Carolina Republican headquarters; and, as reported by CNN, was to meet with potential donors at a law firm.


MAY
>Former Gov. Jon Huntsman visited SC on May 6-8, 2011.  On May 6 in Columbia he met with Gov. Nikki Haley in her office and met with Republican leaders.  On May 7 he delivered a commencement address at the University of South Carolina in Columbia; and CNN reported that he planned to meet with local Republican leaders in CharlestonOn May 8 he attended services with Rep. Tim Scott at Seacoast Church in suburban Charleston.
