Ed. How exactly are the
percentages are
calculated? Noel Blaha, director of promotions
for the Charleston Riverdogs, explains:
An equal amount of each
candidate’s dolls are
available as fans enter
the ballpark. The first candidate to run out of bobbles is declaired
that club’s winner. At that time, based on the remaining bobbles, the
percentage is submitted to the Bobblection™ website.
The formula based on 500 of each candidate is: When Candiate A runs out we immediately then count how many of Candidate B remain. If Candidate A runs out and 292 Candiate Bs remain the vote tally would be 500-208 in favor of Candidate A. Thereby Candidate A would have 500 of the total 708 votes or 70% (500x100 divided by 708) and candidate A would win that stadium 70%-30% and earn one point for the over all promotion (similar to electoral college votes/points). |
