Clear Leadership

The Presidential Election of 2012 will in great measure determine exactly what kind of nation we desire to be. Upon that backdrop, we find ourselves, as Americans, examining not only individual candidates, but also the state of our nation. Now is the time that we take stock of the path which we have been led.

Our nation is involved, to greater or lesser degree, in 3 foreign conflicts to which no end is evident. Real unemployment hovers around 14% and American families are struggling to make ends meet. The price of food and fuel continues to rise and general inflation consumes more and more of our paychecks. Our nation is in unimaginable debt and our spending is on borrowed money. This negative assessment of our nation might well be dismissed as both temporary and correctable were it not for the greatest difficulty which faces our nation; the absence of clear leadership.

As Americans we intuitively know that something is wrong with the soul of our nation. We have gone off course. We have fallen away from the principles that made America the shining city upon a hill. .. an example of freedom and prosperity for the rest of the world.

Thankfully, the winds of revival are in the air! Patriotic Americans across the country are rising up and marching on state capitols from sea to shining sea. There is a yearning to return to the fundamental roots that made our nation great.

I am running for the office of President of the United States because I know America is greater than the leadership we have been given. I understand all too well that no career politician is prepared or willing to implement fundamental change; it is not in their makeup. But, I know that with decisive and courageous leadership, "America's best days are ahead of her."

As a highly successful businessman, community leader, husband, father and minister, I know I can lead our nation back to its founding principles, back to sound fiscal policy, monetary policy and foreign policy.

I know I can help revive the spirit of America and return our nation back to greatness!

Now is the time to change course. Now is the time to reclaim the promise of America. I ask you to join me as we take back our nation, our inheritance and our future.

Jared Blankenship

Jared was born in Abilene, Texas in August of 1970. He is the son of Morris and Sondra Blankenship, both former public school teachers in Fort WOlth, Texas before returning to the family farm.

Over the years Jared has grown his farming operation into a thriving agricultural business of almost 8000 acres of land. He understands that no business survives without hard work and perseverance.

Jared has served on the board of directors of the Deaf Smith County Farm Bureau for several years and has been active in pursuing the concerns of agriculture by influencing the Federal government's policies.

He has served as President of the Board for a small agri-business corporation, taught America's youth, and led in his community and church. These diverse experiences have produced characteristics and skills which are both well-rounded and trial-tested.

His wife, Sheri, is an Assistant Superintendent for Hereford lSD, in charge of personnel and Federal programs. Now married 16 years, they have two children; a son 10 and a daughter 7. They are equally active in their children's education and activities. Coaching youth sports and showing animals provide ample opportunity to be involved with their children.
