We need a President who knows how to fight and win.

We need Tim Pawlenty.

As an old hockey player, I've been in my share of fights.  In Minnesota, I fought the big-spenders, the labor unions and the Democrat special interests.  The taxpayers and I won.

America is facing a crushing debt crisis and we need to cut spending, and unlike the other candidates, I've actually done it.

"Government money isn't 'free.'  You and I either pay for it in taxes or our children pay for it in debt."

Stop the Spending
We need to remind Washington that government exists to serve its citizens, not itself.  We must:

  • - Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment that caps federal spending.

  • - Cut waste, fraud and mismanagement in federal agencies, saving up to 20%.

  • - Oppose increasing the debt limit.

  • - Give the President power to stop up to 5% of federal spending until the budget is balanced.



 Reform Entitlement Programs
Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are going bankrupt.  We must:

  • - Stop Washington mandates and give Medicaid to the states, through block grants.

  • - Gradually raise the Social Security retirement age for those entering the workforce.

  • - Means test Social Security cost-of-living adjustments for high income people who have not yet retired.

  • - Reward doctors and hospitals for providing good medical outcomes, not just high volumes.


Repeal ObamaCare
The Washington takeover of healthcare is a top-down, one size fits all bureaucracy.  As Governor, Tim Pawlenty signed an executive order rejecting ObamaCare in Minnesota.  We must:

  • - Repeal ObamaCare.
