PERRY RECORD
Helped Texas create one million jobs as governor while the rest of America lost two million jobs.

To stop election fraud, signed a Voter ID law requiring a photo ID to vote.

Put $400 million in state funds into border security operations to stop illegal immigration and the trafficking of weapons and drugs.

Ended state funding for Planned Parenthood, shutting down 12 clinics in 2011.

Signed the Defense of Marriage Act to protect the sanctity of marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Enacted sweeping lawsuit reforms, including medical liability reforms that have brought more than 23,000 new doctors to Texas.

PERRY VISION
Overhaul Washington with a flat tax, a Balanced Budget Amendment and a part-time Congress.

Create 1.2 million new jobs by expanding domestic energy exploration on federal lands and waters.

Freeze all pending federal regulations and review all regulations enacted since 2008 to scrap those that harm jobs.

Stop taxpayer-funded abortions while supporting a Human Life Amendment.

Secure the border in one year with additional Border Patrol, National Guard troops and strategic fencing, while also ending the
Obama "catch and release" policy for non-violent illegal aliens.

End bailouts and earmarks, and reduce federal spending to 18% of GDP, compared to 25% today.

PERRY VALUES
Rick Perry grew up on a small farm in a place called Paint Creek. He was active in 4-H, became an Eagle Scout and played 6-man football. At an early age he learned the value of hard work, faith and family. Today he is married to his high school sweetheart and wife of nearly 30 years, Anita. They have two adult children who are successful in their own right.

Rick Perry's values are centered on some basic beliefs: treat others as you would have them treat you; government shouldn't do for others what they are equipped to do for themselves; all human life is sacred and made in the image of God; and the answer to our challenges is less government and more freedom. He believes faith in God and in one another can make America strong again.

Dear Caucus Voter,

My purpose in life was not to run for President, but simply to serve my state and my country.  I have done that as Governor of Texas, and as a pilot in the United States Air Force.  But our country is in such deep trouble, that I decided after several months of prayer and reflection to seek the Republican nomination for our nation's highest office.

I believe I have a unique record suited for these troubling times, and the right vision and values to put America back on a path to prosperity.  While the rest of the country lost more than two million jobs, I helped implement policies in my home state that have led to one million net new jobs over the same period.  I cut property taxes, signed a budget that reduces state spending for the first time since World War II, and fought for and signed into law the most sweeping lawsuit reforms in the country.

Most campaigns are about the candidate.  My campaign is not xx it is about a movement of Americans who want to restore our economic health, free our children from debt, and renew our national sense of purpose based on constitutional values.

Ultimately, this campaign is about you, the caucus voter.  Replacing President Obama with another Washington Insider or a Wall Street Insider won't change a thing.  You don't have to settle.  You can make a statement by voting your values.  As President, my agenda will be your agenda: economic and cultural renewal, greater freedom, and restoring America's prominence in the world.  I would greatly appreciate your vote.  Let's get America working again!
