Brochure (unfolded showing both sides), Florida Presidency 5, mid-Sept. 2011

Dear Delegate,

I am running for president to get America working again. America cannot afford four more years of President Obama. He has given us failed stimulus plans, record debt, downgraded credit and 2.4 million lost jobs. We can do better.

I have signed six balanced budgets, cut property taxes and reduced state spending. My economic philosophy is straight forward: don’t spend all the money, control taxes and spending, provide fair and predictable regulations, and enact lawsuit reform. My campaign is not based on the rhetoric of change, but a record of change.

As president, I will sign an executive order to halt the federal bureaucracy’s implementation of Obamacare my first day in office. I will offer an economic plan focused on growth, with tax cuts across all economic sectors, and for our small businesses and families. And I will freeze job-killing regulations.

We have tried Obama’s big government approach to creating jobs, and it has failed. It’s time to get the federal government out of the way, and let the private sector create jobs.

We must also address Washington’s spending culture. The debt has skyrocketed by $4 trillion under President Obama. Every man, woman and child in America today owes $46,000 in federal debt.

I agree with conservative leaders Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio that we must strengthen and protect entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare, ensuring today’s seniors have the benefits they were promised, while preserving retirement
security and healthcare options for future generations.

If you agree with my conservative vision, I want to ask you to fill out the attached postcard pledging your support, and send it to my campaign. And then I ask for your support in the Presidency 5 Straw Poll on Saturday, September 24.

Together, we can revive America on the foundation of good jobs and fiscal responsibility. Let’s get America working again!

Sincerely,

Rick Perry

AMERICA'S JOBS GOVERNOR

Governor Perry’s Texas is America’s jobs creator. Since June 2009, Texas has added more than 40 percent of the net new jobs in America.

It’s no accident. Rick Perry has controlled state spending, cut taxes and championed lawsuit reforms. Perry is not just a proven fiscal conservative, he’s a proud conservative to the core:

• In Rick Perry’s tenure as Governor, Texas has gained over 1 million jobs while the rest of the nation lost 2.5 million jobs.

• Passed “loser pays” and medical lawsuit reforms to stop frivolous lawsuits and bring thousands of doctors to the state.

• Signed a law requiring a photo id to vote to protect the integrity of elections.

• Successfully fought to put strong private property rights protections on the ballot.

• Protected unborn children through passage of parental consent and sonogram legislation and championed a state constitutional amendment defending traditional marriage.

• Strong defender of our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms; A+ rating from the National Rifle Association.

CONSERVATIVE ROOTS GROUNDED IN HEARTLAND SOIL

Rick Perry comes from humble beginnings, the son of tenant farmers. In the early years, his family had no indoor plumbing
and his mother even hand-sewed his clothes. Growing dryland cotton and West Texas wheat taught him the meaning of hard
work and sacrifice.

As a young man, Perry earned the rank of Eagle Scout and played 6-man football while attending the Paint Creek Rural
School. After college, Perry volunteered for the U.S. Air Force, becoming a C-130 pilot flying missions around the world. He then returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Anita. The Perry’s have two grown children, son, Griffin and
daughter, Sydney.
