Romney for President

I believe in America, and I am confident that we can overcome the challenges America faces.  If you'll join me in this campaign, I will make you this one promise—from my first day in office, my number one job will be to see that America leads the world in job creation once again.

I worked in the private sector for over 25 years, building businesses and working with companies all over the country.  I was elected Governor during an economic slump and fought hard to make my state job-friendly and business competitive by cutting taxes 19 times.

I am proud of my work salvaging the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.  Despite scandals, sponsors fleeing, and a budget that was bleeding red ink, I was able to turn the Salt Lake City games around from the brink of collapse—they went on to become the most successful games held on U.S. soil.

My private and public sector experience has taught me that amid exceptional challenges can come tremendous opportunity.  I believe that working together, we will lead our country through these perilous times and restore our strength at home and abroad.
