An airship with an artistic
"America Needs Romney" banner on it toured around Florida late in the
campaign. According to the RomneyOnThe Top Facebook page, the man
behind the airship is Damian Moore, who was a founder at Bain
Capital (1984-88) and studied at Brigham Young University and Cranbrook
School. Moore's team inflated the blimp-like aircraft on Oct. 18.
In addition to the banner, the team spread its pro-Romney
message through prolific tweets (@RomneyOnTheTop "Tweeting from the
sky") as well as the Facebook page. The airship suffered a
setback when it made an emergency crash landing in a field near Davie
on Oct. 22. By Oct. 24 it was again up in the air over Florida,
and it spent the last several days of the campaign in and over Ohio.
