Cupcakes Prove Popular

The chefs at the National Press Club are known to produce desserts that have a connection to the speaker.  When Herman Cain addressed the Press Club on Oct. 31, 2011, attendees found 9-9-9 cupcakes.  On his way out after his speech, Cain popped his cupcake in his coveted Press Club mug.  Other attendees put several in a plastic bag, wrapped one in aluminum foil, and carried away a couple on top of a binder.

More subtle and more numerous were the cupcakes with a pizza design.
