Leftover Pizza
On May 26, 2011 former Gov. Mitt
Romney (R-MA), still an exploratory candidate for a few more days, met
with business owners at Gino's East of Chicago on North Wells Street in
Chicago in an open press event. He tweeted:
In Chicago. Ready for some deep dish pizza and discussion
about the economy with business owners at @ginoseast
Great deep dish at @ginoseast.
Sending
the extra slices to @barackobama
and his Chicago HQ team http://twitpic.com/52v65c
However the gift was not well received. Romney senior advisor Eric Fehrnstrom tweeted the next day:
Can't believe @barackobama's HQ turned away Romney's pizza delivery. Obama '08 wouldn't have done that. Obama '12 is uptight.
