Pastor Joe Fuiten Endorses Newt Gingrich for President

Atlanta, GA-Pastor Joe Fuiten has endorsed Newt Gingrich for president, and will be joining his Gingrich Faith Leaders Coalition as Washington State co-chair.

Dr. Fuiten is Senior Pastor of Cedar Park Church in Bothell Washington and is the founder of the largest Evangelical school system in the United States with two high schools and six elementary schools.

“Speaker Gingrich has a keen sense of the urgent challenges facing America and a clear vision for national recovery, and the ability to defeat Barack Obama,” said Fuiten. “Our deep national crisis needs his experience and proven leadership.”

Fuiten will join the rapidly growing coalition launched last week, led by Christian market researcher, George Barna. It also includes Dr. Jim Garlow, the California pastor behind the Proposition 8 Battle, Congressman J.C. Watts, Don Wildmon of the American Family Association, and Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel.

The Gingrich Faith Leaders Coalition is currently establishing state leadership committees throughout the country, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Joe Fuiten previously served in 2000 as state director for John Ashcroft’s presidential effort and in 2004 as Chairman of Social Conservatives Coalition for Bush-Cheney.  He was Mike Huckabee’s state chairman in 2008.

“As a Pastor I appreciate that his life illustrates the redemption we preach.  As Americans we believe in recovery and we have never needed it more than right now,” Fuiten said.  “This is Newt Gingrich’s moment to step to the front and lead.”
