Tampa, Fla. - Students from Tampa's Gaither High School will inflate more than 120,000 red, white and blue balloons on Friday, August 24 starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Tampa Bay Times Forum as preparations move forward for the iconic "balloon drop" the final night of the 2012 Republican National Convention, Thursday, August 30.

In addition to this unique photo opportunity of student volunteers blowing up in excess of 20,000 balloons an hour, Treb Heining, of the GlassHouse Balloon Company, Inc., of Anaheim, Calif., will be on hand to answer questions.

In 1988, Mr. Heining developed a system that allowed large numbers of volunteers to inflate upwards of 20,000 balloons an hour in preparation for the Republican National Convention in New Orleans.  With minor modifications, his system is still in use today and will be utilized by the Gaither High School students at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Friday- August, 24th.
