Orlando, FL - Today Jon Huntsman for President announced the
endorsement of JebBush,
Jr.
and Ana Navarro. Jeb
will serve as National Chair of GenH - the campaign's youth and young
professionals outreach program - and Ana will join the campaign as
National Hispanic Chairperson.
"Jon Huntsman is the best-prepared candidate to defeat President Obama
in Florida and across the country," said JebBush,
Jr. "I am confident that his vision will appeal to young voters, who
are alarmed at the trillions of dollars in debt being passed to our
generation and who desperately seek jobs and economic opportunity.
Washington needs a conservative problem-solver with Jon Huntsman's
record of results."
"Jon Huntsman's broad appeal to young
voters and Hispanic voters clearly separates him from the rest of the
Republican primary field," said Ana Navarro. "He is uniquely qualified
to win the primary election in Florida and also put Florida back into
play for Republicans in the 2012 general election. I am extremely proud
to endorse his candidacy and look forward to working tirelessly on his
behalf in the great state of Florida."
"I am very proud to add these two great leaders to our team of
supporters, and I look forward to working with them every step of the
way as we campaign throughout Florida,” said Jon Huntsman. “Florida is
a key state in the fight to win the Republican nomination, and I'm
confident my record of leading the nation in job creation, balancing
budgets and governing as a conservative problem-solver will appeal to
voters."
JebBush, Jr.
currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of JebBush & Associates ("JBA"), as well as
President of Bush
Realty, LLC. Additionally, he serves as a surrogate speaker for the
Florida Family Literacy Foundation, a statewide organization to promote
literacy. Jeb was an early supporter of Marco
Rubio's successful campaign for Senate, and is also the Chairman of the
Board for SunPAC.
Ana Navarro served on Gov. JebBush's
transition team and served as his first Director of Immigration Policy.
In 2001, she served as Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights
Commission. Ana also served as the National Co-Chair of John McCain’s
Hispanic Advisory Council and was a frequent national press and
speaking surrogate for the McCain campaign in 2008.
