GOVERNOR JON HUNTSMAN RECIEVES THE ENDORSMENT OF THREE NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE REPRESENATIVES

Manchester, NH – Jon Huntsman for President today announced that Governor Jon Huntsman has received the endorsements of three more New Hampshire State Representatives. Representatives Rick Ladd, David Knox and Jeff St. Cyr cited Governor Huntsman’s plan to create jobs in America and regain America’s competitiveness overseas as the primary reason for their endorsements.

“Governor Huntsman has solutions for some of our toughest problems,” said Representative David Knox. “I am supporting Governor Jon Huntsman for President today because I think he is one of the most intelligent, if not the most intelligent, candidate in the Republican race. He also is our best chance for beating President Obama in the general election, and he is best suited to create jobs in this country. I am proud to offer him my support.”

Representative David Knox is in his fourth term representing Carroll County District 4. Rep. Knox was chairman of his local Republican Committee for 24 years and a member of the Carroll County Republican Committee for 22 years. Prior to running for public office, Rep. Knox was a teacher at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro for 31 years where he taught American Government.

“This country is at a critical juncture where we must depart from the belief that it is government’s role to grow jobs and fix the economy,” said Representative Rick Ladd. “Jon Huntsman realizes that a balanced budget amendment and getting government spending under control will grow business and jobs. Expanding the economy and restoring jobs is Jon Huntsman’s number one priority. It is without hesitation that I support Jon Huntsman’s candidacy and I look forward to a refreshing common sense, principled leadership voice in Washington, D.C.”

Representative Rick Ladd, a Republican from Haverhill, is serving his first term in the New Hampshire House and represents Grafton County District 5 that includes Benton, Haverhill, Piermont and Warren. He serves on the Education Committee. From 1980 to 2002, Rep. Ladd was a school administrator in Alaska and was recognized as a National Distinguished Principal in 1998. He also has 10 years of teaching and administrative experience in Maine where he published the Maine Studies Curriculum, Down East Magazine. While a Maine principal, he served as the Principals' Association liaison with the Maine Education Committee.

“I am proud to endorse Governor Huntsman to be the next President of the United States,” said Representative Jeff St. Cyr. “Governor Huntsman brings experience from serving as the Chief Executive for the State of Utah and will bring a unique perspective to the White House from his time as the Ambassador to China and Singapore. America needs a President who has foreign policy experience and is ready to lead our nation on the first day in office.”

Representative Jeff St. Cyr represents the citizens of Belknap County District 5 which includes Alton, Barnstead, Belmont, and Gilford. Rep.  St. Cyr is in his second term and is a member of the House Education Committee. He has been a member of the Alton School Board since 2007 and has served as the Board Chairman for two years.

“Our country needs leadership in Washington that will fight to make America competitive again,” said Governor Jon Huntsman. “The American people deserve solutions now. I am grateful to David, Rick and Jeff for their support and look forward to working with them to communicate our message of solutions to Granite Staters in their districts.”

Representatives Ladd, Knox and St. Cyr today join Representatives Julie Brown, Jim Waddell and Adam Schroadter who had previously endorsed Governor Huntsman’s campaign.
