Huntsman Campaign Names Business and Economic Advisers

Orlando – Jon Huntsman for President today announced that John Mack will serve as chairman of the campaign’s Business Advisory Council. Other members include Gary Loveman, Phil Knight and Tom Bell.

The Business Advisory Council will provide the campaign with counsel and advice on issues related to the economy, business and jobs.

“I’m proud that we have assembled such a distinguished group of business leaders who understand how to create an environment that promotes growth,” said Governor Huntsman. “There is no more urgent priority than creating jobs and strengthening our economic core, and these four individuals are invaluable additions to our team.”

“Governor Huntsman is a serious, pragmatic leader who knows how to restore confidence and stability to the marketplace,” said Mack. “He has a proven track record of creating jobs – both in business and as governor of Utah – and we look forward to working with him to move America forward.”

John Mack serves as executive chairman of the board of Morgan Stanley. He also serves as a board member of the Bloomberg Family Foundation and the Executive Committee of the Partnership for New York City.

Gary Loveman is chairman, chief executive officer and president of Caesars Entertainment Corporation. He is the past chairman of the American Gaming Association, and serves on the Trust Board at Children's Hospital Boston.

Phil Knight is the co-founder and chairman of Nike, Inc.

Tom Bell is the former chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Previously, Bell served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Cousins Properties Incorporated.
