Huntsman Campaign Announces “New Hampshire Job Creators For Huntsman”
Manchester, NH –Jon Huntsman for President today announced the creation of the “New Hampshire Job Creators for Huntsman” business coalition. The group will work to organize in their communities and spread Jon Huntsman’s message of real solutions, not just rhetoric, for our nation's toughest problems. Governor Huntsman is in the midst of a four day trip through New Hampshire where he has already held four town halls. Serving as co-chairs of “New Hampshire Job Creators for Huntsman” are Renee Riedel-Plummer, Jim Tibbetts and David Currier.
“It is clear that the only candidate for President who understands what must be done to create real jobs and get our economy moving again is Jon Huntsman,” said businesswoman Renee Riedel-Plummer. “The Governor’s bold and widely acclaimed economic proposal is exactly what America and New Hampshire needs. That is one reason many who work every day in the business community are supporting Jon Huntsman for President, and I am proud to be counted among them.”
Renee Riedel-Plummer of Portsmouth is Vice President of Marketing at Two International Group, LLC., located at Pease International Tradeport. In December 2010, Renee was third on the Portsmouth Herald’s “Seacoast’s 10 Most Influential People” list because of her active involvement in business, community, charitable, and political endeavors.
“Governor Huntsman understands what the business community desperately needs in this economy: tax reform, regulation overhaul, and energy independence,” said former State Senator David Currier. “His economic proposals will allow businesses to flourish in New Hampshire and across the country. Governor Huntsman's ideas are not merely rhetoric; they are grounded in his experience as governor where he flattened the tax code, encouraged the private sector, and brought Utah to the number one state in job growth.”
David Currier is the founder of Bound Tree Medical in Henniker, New Hampshire. He is a former member of the New Hampshire House and State Senate and a former Henniker Selectman. He is a charter member of the Henniker Lions Club and served with Henniker Rescue.
“As CEO of a community bank we are experiencing new regulatory burdens every day with unintended consequences,” said First Colebrook Bank CEO James Tibbetts. “Our policy makers don't seem to understand that we are a small business providing employment for people and financing for small businesses on Main Street in our communities. Governor Huntsman understands these issues and will bring some reason to regulatory reform.”
James "Jim" Tibbetts is the President and CEO of the First Colebrook Bank. A native to New Hampshire, Jim is a graduate of UNH who has spent his entire career in banking. He currently resides in Colebrook.
“Instead of being held back by a convoluted tax code and burdensome regulations, our business leaders and job creators need to be given the tools necessary to succeed in an increasingly competitive marketplace,” said Governor Huntsman. “We must grow private sector jobs in this country by empowering those who have the ability to create them.
