AFP Launches $1.3 Million Issue Advocacy Push to Educate Citizens About Obama's Failing Policies
Buys made in 13 states; focus on grassroots activism, will help bolster AFP’s field plan

Arlington, VA – Coming off a successful volunteer action day where over 400,000 live phone calls were made by volunteers in a single day, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) will begin airing a new radio issue ad to inform citizens of Obama’s Failing Agenda.  The ads, which will run for two weeks, are part of a $1.3 million issue advocacy push in 13 states including:  Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

“With this buy and our ongoing “Obama’s Failing Agenda” bus tour, AFP is showing our dedication to informing citizens throughout the country about the disastrous results of Obama’s big-government economic policies,” said Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity. “This ad will help strengthen our already robust field effort and help bring in more activists who are passionate about economic freedom.”

Americans for Prosperity is in the midst of a nationwide bus tour that will stop in some 400 cities in 20+ states. This latest radio effort compliments the message being delivered by the “Obama’s Failing Agenda” bus tour. The new ad focuses on numerous areas where President Obama’s agenda is failing, including the vast health care takeover that brings over $500 billion in new taxes, irresponsible spending on green energy scams like Solyndra, and 43 straight months of unemployment over 8%. The ad states, “President Obama’s Agenda has been failing American families and must come to an end.”

The radio spot calls upon citizens to get involved in the economic issues of the day and to learn more about President Obama’s policies by visiting FailingAgenda.com.
