Restore Our Future today released a new ad, touting Mitt Romney's proven leadership during the 2002 Olympics that gave athletes "a huge sense of hope."  The ad, which will air during the London Olympics, features Olympians Kristi Yamaguchi (Gold Medalist, 2002 Goodwill Ambassador), Jimmy Shea (2002 Gold Medalist, Skeleton), and Derek Parra (2002 Gold Medalist, Speed Skating) as well as Fraser Bullock (COO, 2002 Winter Games).

"Mitt Romney understands 'hope' is not when a politician reads well-crafted rhetoric, but rather, when Americans are once again empowered to make their own decisions, use their talents and achieve their dreams," said Charlie Spies, Treasurer of Restore Our Future.  "Mitt Romney is the only presidential candidate who has shown proven leadership on the economy, transforming a deficit into a surplus during the 2002 Winter Olympics, balancing the budget without raising taxes in Massachusetts, and creating thousands of jobs in the private sector.  Mitt Romney's real experience gives Americans hope."

Restore Our Future Announces Ad Buy for London Olympics
$7.2 million buy will run in 11 states

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Restore Our Future today announced purchasing $7.2 million worth of ad time during the coverage of the London Olympics.  The buy counters the Obama campaign's recent Olympic ad buy and will run in 11 states:  Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Ten years ago, Mitt Romney rescued the Salt Lake City Olympics from scandal and financial ruin, transforming a crushing deficit into a surplus and delivering a safe and secure Olympics less than a year after September 11," said Charlie Spies, Treasurer of Restore Our Future.  "Mitt Romney is a proven leader who is capable of turning our economy around and creating an environment where we can once again realize the American Dream."

The $7.2 million ad buy will begin on July 31 and run through August 9.
