UAW, allies, elected officials hold event on Friday, Feb. 24, with message for Mitt Romney:
Don't bet against Michigan; don't bet against us!

DETROIT – On Friday, Feb. 24, the United Auto Workers, allies and elected officials will hold an event next to Ford Field to tell Mitt Romney this: Don’t bet against Michigan, don’t bet against us.

The rally of Michigan workers and supporters will be held ahead of Romney’s speech to the Detroit Economic Club at Ford Field where he is expected to double-down on the same failed policies of the past that would let Wall Street write its own rules again, would favor the 1 percent wealthiest over the rest of us and would have “Let Detroit go bankrupt.”

The event will feature local workers and a large visual display to remind Romney that Michiganders won’t forget how, in their hour of need, he turned his back on an iconic American industry, the city of Detroit, the state of Michigan and millions of American jobs.
