Arlington, Va. – POLITICO announced today its plans for 70 hours of live convention programming and a nightly lounge for convention-goers during the weeks of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., and the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
 
Programming in the form of live shows and events will originate from the POLITICO Hub in both cities, located inside the Rivergate Tower in downtown Tampa and at Packard Place in uptown Charlotte. Both venues are just a few short blocks from the convention centers. All programming will stream live on POLITICO.com and mobile devices, with select programs airing nationally on C-SPAN and on NewsChannel 8 in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
 
Equipped with wi-fi and top-of-the-line amenities, the invitation-only POLITICO Hub will offer guests a retreat to unwind, to network with other convention-goers and to experience POLITICO LIVE shows and events.
 
Mornings will begin at the POLITICO Hub at 7:30 ET with a POLITICO LIVE: Driving the Day show, breaking down the day’s political agenda, followed by special convention-editions of Playbook Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. ET, which will feature top newsmakers such as Karl Rove and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. Doors for Playbook Breakfast will open at 8 a.m. ET.
 
Each evening, beginning at 6, the POLITICO Hub’s nightly lounge will offer specialty cocktails provided by Diageo as well as gourmet bites tailored to each host city, including Florida seafood and North Carolina barbecue.
 
On Sunday, Aug. 26 in Tampa, POLITICO programming will kick off with a special edition of POLITICO LIVE at 3 p.m. A complete list of programming is below.
