"Showdown 2012" programming will air Monday - Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm ET through the election on SiriusXM P.O.T.U.S. (channel 124). Showdown 2012: CQ Roll Call (Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm ET): Senior Editor Morton M. Kondracke and other leading staffers including David Hawkings, editor, CQ Roll Call Daily Briefing, host this weekly show from CQ Roll Call, the nation's premier source of timely news, objective facts, analysis and coverage of elections and the politics of legislation. A 37-year veteran Washington, D.C. journalist, Kondracke previously served as CQ Roll Call's Executive Editor and columnist; executive editor and senior editor of The New Republic; Newsweek's Washington bureau chief, columnist at The Wall Street Journal and co-host of "The Beltway Boys" with Fred Barnes. Kondracke received the Washington Post "Crystal Ball Award" in 1994 for predicting the Republican takeover of Congress.

Showdown 2012: The Flacks (Mondays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm ET): Veteran communications strategists and MSNBC political analysts Karen Finney and Robert Traynham -- aka "The Flacks" -- cut through the spin, translate the message and pull back the veil to reveal what's really going on with the candidates and campaigns. Throughout their political careers, Finney and Traynham have played top roles within their respective parties.  Finney was the Director of Communications for the Democratic National Committee for four years, the first African-American to serve in this role for either party. She served as Deputy Press Secretary to First Lady Hillary Clinton, Deputy Director of Presidential Scheduling for President Clinton, Director of Communications for Elizabeth Edwards during the Kerry/Edwards Presidential Campaign in 2004 and Press Secretary to Hillary Clinton during her successful bid for the Senate in 2000.  

Traynham, a veteran of over a dozen federal campaigns, was a senior advisor to President George W. Bush for his 2004 re-election and senior advisor to former 2008 presidential candidate Fred Thompson. Traynham served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for the Senate Republican Conference, the highest-ranking African American Republican in Congress during this tenure. He was a longtime senior aide and press secretary for Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) and President of the United States Senate Press Secretaries Association. His work with the Republican National Committee includes assisting with many presidential nominating conventions.
