April 27, 2011--Ovide
Lamontagne, who narrowly finished second to Kelly Ayotte in the
September 2010 Republican U.S. Senate primary, subsequently formed the
Granite Oath PAC. He and his wife Betty have been holding house
parties with potential candidates to give them an opportunity to
interact
with activists in a more intimate setting than some of the big dinners
and events. Tonight they hosted Herman Cain. Previously
they held house parties with Tim Pawlenty (March 10) and Rick Santorum
(January 11). Lamontagne, who is seen as a likely candidate for
governor in 2012, said he is looking for "the most conservative
candidate who can win." "For me it's about winning. We
cannot afford to have another four years of President Obama in the
White House as far as I'm concerned," he stated. |
