The First Lady's campaign-related activities in May included speeches introducing her husband at the first official campaign rallies on May 5, remarks to volunteers and supporters in Las Vegas and Cleveland, and four fundraisers.  On May 11 and 12 she delivered commencement addresses at Virginia Tech and North Carolina A&T, both in battleground states.  She also hosted spouses during the NATO summit in Chicago and at the end of the month started doing publicity for her book American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America.
