RNC Releases New Ad and Web Site “Hope Isn’t Hiring” In Response To President Obama’s 2012 Campaign Kickoff
 
WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) today released a new advertisement and web site titled “Hope Isn’t Hiring” in response to Barack Obama officially filing paperwork to seek a second term as President of the United States. In order to help counter the Obama fundraising machine, the website asks supporters to help the RNC raise $270,000 in the next 72 hours - $1,000 for every electoral vote required to elect the next Republican president.            “Iowa has undergone a first order political change since 2008. Iowa Republicans are leading the way on reining in runaway spending, shrinking the size of government and working to incentivize private sector job creation. As President Obama announces his reelection plans, Iowans will be demanding answers from the President to address why his stimulus bill has failed to curb unemployment while increasing our children's debt burden and why he chose to focus on passing Obamacare instead working to revitalize our economy."

           Iowa Republicans are energized and excited to start the process of electing the next President of the United States.  In 2008, our state was known as the launching pad for then Senator Obama’s campaign. Washington, DC - Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) made the following statement about President Obama's reelection plans:
