RNC Releases New Ad and
Web Site “Hope Isn’t Hiring” In Response To President Obama’s 2012
Campaign Kickoff
WASHINGTON –
The Republican National Committee (RNC) today released a new
advertisement and web site titled “Hope Isn’t Hiring” in response to
Barack Obama officially filing paperwork to seek a second term as
President of the United States. In order to help counter the Obama
fundraising machine, the website asks supporters to help the RNC raise
$270,000 in the next 72 hours - $1,000 for every electoral vote
required to elect the next Republican president. The website and ad can
be viewed here:
http://www.hopeisnthiring.com/.
“It’s
official. President Obama’s reelection campaign is off and
running,
meaning once again the president is putting politics ahead of the work
of the people. Despite a looming government shutdown, a new military
operation in Libya and Tax Day around the corner, President Obama made
the decision to focus on kicking off his billion dollar campaign.
As
the debt and reckless spending championed by this administration
threatens to snuff out the recovery and future job growth, the
President’s conscious decision to take a back seat on leadership is
downright irresponsible. Simply put, America can’t afford four more
years of Barack Obama.” – RNC Chairman Reince Priebus

PRESS RELEASE from
Iowa Republican Party
MEMORANDUM
TO: Reporters and Editors
FR: Matthew N. Strawn, Chairman, Republican Party of Iowa
RE: Statement on President Obama’s Reelection Announcement
DA: Monday, April 04, 2011
____________________________________________________________________________
Republican
Party
of
Iowa Chairman Matt Strawn today issued the following following
President Obama’s reelection announcement.
“Iowa has undergone a first order political
change since 2008.
Iowa Republicans are leading the way on reining in runaway spending,
shrinking the size of government and working to incentivize private
sector job creation. As President Obama announces his reelection
plans,
Iowans will be demanding answers from the President to address why
his
stimulus bill has failed to curb unemployment while increasing our
children's debt burden and why he chose to focus on passing Obamacare
instead working to revitalize our economy."
Iowa Republicans are energized and excited to start the process
of electing the next President of the United States. In
2008,
our
state
was known as the launching pad for then Senator Obama’s
campaign. I am confident that the 2012 Iowa caucuses will be
forever
known as the launching pad in finding the President’s Republican
successor."

STATEMENT from America's Foundation
Santorum Statement on Obama's Reelection
Announcement
Washington, DC - Former Senator Rick
Santorum (R-PA) made the following statement about President Obama's
reelection plans:
"We
can't take four more years of the 'change' the Obama Administration has
forced upon America. The only thing that has changed is the
amount of
our debt, the size of our government, the loss of our freedom, the
fewer jobs for those wanting work, the diminished stature of America,
and an expensive military commitment without a clear national security
purpose," said Senator Santorum. "The 'progress we've
made' that the
President refers to has nothing to do with improving the lives of
Americans or providing a better future for the next generations.
It is
about moving an ideological agenda to grow the power of Washington over
the average citizen."
