State Director  Aaron Easter Gardner

(May 2012)  A legal fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center in New Orleans before starting on the campaign.  Staff assistant to Lt. Gov. Charles Fogarty.  In the 2008 cycle, Easter Gardner worked as an organizer on Obama's Iowa caucus campaign, then did projects in some other states, and was deputy state director in Mississippi in the Fall; after the campaign he served as an organizer for the PIC.  J.D. from Tulane Law School, 2012; undergraduate degree from University of Rhode Island, 2006.

(elected to a fourth term Jan. 2011)  Worked for 30 years as an educator in the Bridgeport school system, starting as a teacher and working her way up to Director of Psychological Services; retired in June 2002.  Started out in politics in 1971 when she was elected as a member of her local Town Council.

(from May 2012)  Deputy treasurer in the Connecticut Office of the Treasurer.  Candidate for Secretary of State in 2010, finishing second at the convention.  Served six years in the Connecticut Senate representing the 5th Senatorial District towns of Bloomfield, Burlington, Farmington and West Hartford.  Mayor of West Hartford, 2001-04.  J.D. from the New York University School of Law; bachelor’s degree in politics and Russian studies from Brandeis University
