(elected June 2008; term started Nov. 2008)  Attorney with Ballew Covalt PC LLO in Lincoln.  Served on the executive committee for the Lancaster County Democratic Party and on the rules committee for the Nebraska Democratic Party and has volunteered his time for numerous political campaigns since 1982.  Fifth generation Nebraskan.  B.A. in history from University of Nebraska-Lincoln; J.D. from the University Of Nebraska College Of Law, 1981.

(Feb. 2009)  Campaign manager for 2nd CD candidate Jim Esch in 2008 and 2006.  Managed the coordinated campaign in 2002.  Worked as finance on a congressional race in the 2000 cycle, finance director on a gubernatorial campaign in the 1998 cycle, and has worked on numerous county, municipal, and statehouse races.  A former member of the Nebraska State Central Committee.  Graduate of University Nebraska, Omaha.
