Ron Paul Nevada Team Names New ‘LDS for Ron Paul’ Nationwide Coalition Members
Latter-day Saints brothers and sisters who support Dr. Paul hail from Clark County area

HENDERSON, Nevada – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced today new members of its active “Latter-day Saints for Ron Paul” nationwide coalition.

Today’s additions hail from Clark County, Nevada.  The coalition members have pledged to spread the word about Dr. Paul among their respective communities, stakes, wards, and branches.

“I believe the Constitution was inspired by God.  It provides me with the agency and free choice to choose what religion I may want to live, so long as it doesn’t infringe on the free choice of others to seek and find truth in the pursuit of happiness,” said Natalie Roach, a stay at home mother in the Las Vegas area.

“The Constitution is under attack and hanging by a thread.  It is the responsibility of our people to support and vote for those who support and make decisions based on the Constitution.  The only candidate who has the rhetoric and the record to prove that we can trust their word on defending our Constitution and our liberties is Ron Paul.  All other candidates fall short of this measure,” concluded Ms. Roach.

Also of Las Vegas, Floyd Fitzgibbons clearly explained his support stating, “No one over the past 30 years has been a better champion in defending the Constitution than Dr. Ron Paul.  He has never voted for a budget deficit, tax increase, or increasing the debt.  He advocates religious freedom, the right to life, understands the Federal Reserve, and takes the Scriptural position that we should renounce war, pursue peace, and only go to war with a Constitutional declaration.”

“Here is a man whose record epitomizes being honest, wise and good – a defender of the cause of liberty.  The criteria for our vote should be which candidate will best represent the proper role of government, not whether they belong to the right church,” continued Mr. Fitzgibbons.

Henderson residents Dave and Danielle Ellis compared two good men and found one to be the better conservative, saying, “We have been taught all our lives to seek out wise leaders, and to understand and support the Constitution.  While Mitt Romney is a good man, he holds positions that are not Constitutionally sound.  Ron Paul, also a man of integrity, has consistently voted for Constitutionally-sound government, monetary policy, foreign policy, and social policy.”

Concerning the active “Latter-day Saints for Ron Paul” coalition, this announcement follows the high-profile endorsements of Overstock.com President Jonathan Johnson, prominent author and chair of the Utah Tenth Amendment Center Connor Boyack, and that of Utah Republican Liberty Caucus Chair Darcy Van Orden

All such announcements help present Ron Paul as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney and demonstrate that no presidential candidate has a monopoly on this crucial western states voter segment.

As a function of this announcement, the above-mentioned persons are all members of the “Latter-day Saints for Ron Paul” nationwide coalition, in particular its Nevada steering committee.

Ron Paul Nevada Team Names Additional ‘LDS for Ron Paul’ Nationwide Coalition Members
Featured Latter-day Saints brothers and sisters who support Dr. Paul hail from Churchill, Clark, and Washoe counties

HENDERSON, Nevada – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today new members of its active “Latter-day Saints for Ron Paul” nationwide coalition.

Today’s additions hail from Churchill, Clark, and Washoe counties, all Nevada.  The coalition members have pledged to spread the word about Dr. Paul among their respective communities, stakes, wards, and branches.

Fallon resident Janet Brown cites Dr. Paul as a “hero” for his principles stating, “I have followed his voting record for around 30 years, and he has consistently stood for the Constitution and truth.  He exemplifies the same principles as former Church President Ezra Taft Benson.  Ron Paul is a man that won’t compromise those principles and I believe he will go down in history as a great defender of liberty.”

Steve Sparti of Las Vegas wrote the Ron Paul Nevada campaign organization, describing the similarities between Dr. Paul and the late Church President David O. McKay.

“I support Ron Paul because he is the only candidate with real solutions to the real problems we face.  He has consistently stood up to big government, fake conservatives, and his voting record shows that he stands by the Constitution and won’t vote to increase the debt,” said Mr. Sparti.

“Ron Paul knows that it is only through free agency and personal responsibility that America can and will be great,” added Mr. Sparti.

Alluding to Ron Paul’s ‘Plan to Restore America,’ Reno-area resident Michael Orton explained his support for Ron Paul, noting that he supports the 12-term Congressman from Texas in part “because he is fiscally responsible.”  Dr. Paul, Mr. Orton said, “[h]as a good plan to get our country back on track and fix our economy.  I think he is the only candidate who means what he says and will stick to his guns when elected.  It is time to cut wasteful spending, restore responsibility to the White House, and get this country back to work.”

Ron Paul Nevada Team Names New ‘LDS for Ron Paul’ Nationwide Coalition Members
New members hailing from Clark and Washoe counties extend their support to Dr. Paul

HENDERSON, Nevada – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today new members of its active “Latter-day Saints for Ron Paul” nationwide coalition.  Voices of support for Dr. Paul echo from the northwest corner of the state, down to Last Vegas.

Focusing on this large western states voting bloc, the continued use of coalitions will build operational capacity in a manner that proved pivotal to the 12-term Congressman from Texas’s top-tier finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Voters of an LDS background respond that they desire to maintain the sanctity of their personal liberties, uphold the foundational purpose of the Constitution, and want to see Washington exercise time-tested values such as honesty and thrift.

Ralph Daveline of Clark County is confident Ron Paul has the right vision for America. “I believe in Ron Paul’s plan to restore America.  He is the only candidate with a plan to cut spending and truly balance the budget.”

Joining his neighbor, Michael Cox of Las Vegas  endorses Dr. Paul as his choice for President this election cycle.  Mr. Cox believes in Ron Paul’s ability to defend our God given rights established in the constitution and implement the proper reforms for America.

“Congressman Ron Paul is the only candidate for President whose record matches his rhetoric.  As the only GOP candidate for President on the ballot in all 50 states he has always been pro-life both in his words and his actions as Congressman.  He is also the only candidate that follows the enumerated powers of our Divinely-inspired Constitution.  Hyrum Smith once said, ‘To vote for a wicked man, it would be sin.’  A wicked man would ignore what God has inspired,” Mr. Cox stated.

Cody Wilcox’s support for Dr. Paul is unwavering as he assesses the credibility of candidates running for the Republican nomination.  “As an LDS member I'm drawn to Dr. Paul's model of accountability and honesty.  I can't imagine Dr. Paul acting outside the best interest of the American people and that cannot be said about other politicians.  This country was founded upon a masterpiece, the Constitution, which encompasses our most important values.  In the face of adversity Dr. Paul will stand strong for the values of the Constitution,” Mr. Wilcox said.

Another LDS member Nicolas Riley from Reno keeps his wife and three children in mind as he chooses to support Congressman Paul for the upcoming caucus.  Mr. Riley explains with the following.

“I support Dr Paul because he is the champion of the Constitution and will fight to protect our personal liberties.  Remember that the freedom of religion is also the freedom to practice your religion as long as it doesn't interfere with the rights of others.  Also, I believe in the morality to live within my means and expect my government to do so through a balanced budget.  Lastly, Dr. Paul has a history as an obstetrician.  He understands how to assess problems, prioritize urgency, treat the problem, and educate others appropriately,” Mr. Riley stated confidently.
