| June 1-3, 2009--During a press
conference at the America's Future NOW! conference, progressive leaders
including Richard Kirsch, national campaign director of Health Care for
America Now, and former Gov. Howard Dean, now chairman of the board of
the Progressive Book Club, announced that progressive groups plan to
spend more than $82 million to support the goal of achieving "quality,
affordable health care for all" this year. |
